Better get me a bottle!

What more could the Crimplene Queens ask for??

(Apart from mandatory crimplene wearing, of course!)

How very delicious!!

O, wouldn't it be jolly super to be lying back on my floral vinyl recliner, a young man in leopard print crimplene bathers feeding me grapes and keeping my glass filled!?
O, Gladys, I'm feeling mighty frisky right now!

One For The Ladies

Crimplene was a thick, man-made yarn invented by the now defunct ICI Laboratory. The fabric was heavy, wrinkle-resistant and retained its shape well. Crimplene was named after the Crimple Valley in Harrogate, Yorkshire where the company was situated.

Following Crimplene's introduction in the 1950s the fabric became immediately popular due to the durability and drip-drying qualities. It was later adopted by British Mod Culture for use in garish button-down shirts.

Sadly Crimplene fell out of fashion in the early 1970s making way for the trend in lighter weight polyester fabrics like Trevira for their ease of movement and ventilation.

Bugger ventilation, we Crimplene Queens think it's time for a Crimplene revival.
